Wellness Has a New Face at Restoration Healthcare

By: Restoration Healthcare

Michelle Vila, Restoration Healthcare’s very first wellness director, recently left us in order to take a new position within a completely different industry. She has be replaced by Crystal Caprioli, who was previously our front desk administrator.

Michelle_VillaMichelle had been with us since the day we opened our doors back in December of 2014. She walked into an office in full chaos, with no furniture, no trash cans, no supplies and a bunch of computers, printers and phones that needed to be set up in no time at all. Like we said — chaos!

She was quickly promoted from foundation trainer to practice manager, and was later named wellness director. “At the time, being a startup, each of these job titles involved the same responsibilities,” Michelle recalled. “In other words, everything!”

Michelle has joined Willdan Energy Solutions — an Anaheim-based engineering company — as its outreach manager. Willdan provides technical and consulting services to businesses interested in energy efficiency. She says her job is to identify and establish clientele as well as oversee any energy renovations that clients would like to execute.

“Essentially, my job is to help businesses ‘go green,’ she says.

While Michelle says she is grateful that Restoration Healthcare took a chance by hiring her right out of college with little experience in running a healthcare facility, it is us — the practice we’ve grown into just two short years later — that is grateful for Michelle.

She termed our patients as pioneers in a major shift in healthcare, never settling for mediocrity. And to the crew at Restoration Healthcare, she credited “the magical combination of this team” for the practice’s early success.

“I love you all and I will miss seeing your faces every day,” she recently told us.

Crystal Caprioli Restoration HealthcareCrystal Caprioli has assumed the wellness director post, saying she is excited to get to know Restoration Healthcare’s patients on a more personal level.

“Becoming their go-to person in the office and guiding them through their treatment plan — that’s what I’m most looking forward to (that AND seeing each patient’s health progress and being happy along with them as changes are experienced).”

With Paula Shoemaker as our new office manager, and with Crystal settling into her new role with relative ease, Drs. Raleigh and Bakman are pleased and confident with how the team is evolving.
